Morris reached out and gently patted Cherise's head, saying, "I've really missed you these past few days." As he

Truman and Xenia walked over to Cherise and said, "Happy Birthday, Cherise! You've had a hard tthese past

few days. Welcback home!" Truman beamed and added, "Cherise, Morris toldyou've been quite tired

recently and need srest at home.

"So we decided to keep it simple and cozy, just Xenia and me.

"Go on, blow out the candles. Then let's head to the backyard. I've prepared lots of fresh barbecue goodies.

"Can you smell that fragrance? It's amazing. My grilling skills are just as good as Morris."

Xenia chimed in, "Yeah, con, Cherise, blow out the candles. You must be starving after these past few days,

right?"

Cherise rubbed her stomach, catching the scent of grilled beef wafting over from the backyard. Indeed, she was

quite hungry.

Morris looked at Cherise, leaned in, and whispered in her ear, "Sweetheart, today is your birthday and the first

one we're celebrating together. I'm so glad | brought you hfor it. "Make a wish and blow out the candles,

and I'll grill you a steak."

Cherise nodded, looking gratefully at the group, clasping her hands together. She murmured, "I hope we all stay
